The graphic structure has one global coordinate (x-, y- or z-axis). The command axis computes the scales of the given axis (the minimum and maximum values) in this coordinate. The normal scaling function (see Sect. 7.5) is available, but note that this command does not locate any data points or neurons in a neural network related to an axis.
The parameter -step defines the numbers of the ranges for displaying the labels of the scales for the axis. The ranges of the axis (<min> and <max>) are divided into uniform pieces.
